Energy cost-cutting results to be announced for Glens Falls Hospital | Business
On Friday, National Grid and the New York State Energy Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) plan to announce energy cost-cutting results achieved by Glens Falls Hospital.
The cost-cutting was done through NYSERDA’s Energy Efficiency for Health initiative.
Glens Falls Hospital is the latest hospital to participate in Energy Efficiency for Health. The initiative was launched in 2010 to help National Grid’s hospital customers around the state reduce operating costs by implementing more efficient use of electricity and natural gas.
Over 50 hospitals have joined the initiative and NYSERDA and National Grid have been working together to help hospitals with technical support and to supply up to $10 million in funding.
The announcement will come at the Hospital around 11 a.m.
