GRANVILLE - The cold weather has postponed the water diving search for a missing man.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Post Star report that Vermont Police had hoped to search the Mettawee River for 23-year-old Jonathan Schaff.

Police say there is a deep pool in the river that they want divers to search.

The Fair Haven, Vermont man was last seen leaving a bar in Granville on Saturday morning.

Officials say he was in a brawl there and may have broken his glasses and have a cut on his head.

Schaff’s phone was found in an abandoned vehicle in West Pawlet, Vt.

Police have found no other clues to his whereabouts.
